Laborer

About the role

McMillen, Inc. is seeking an experienced Laborer for immediate placement on a project in Umatilla, OR, with potential for additional long‑term work opportunities in the Western Region. As an employee‑owned firm focused on dams, energy, fisheries, natural resources, and infrastructure, McMillen designs and builds solutions that shape the future of water resources.

Responsibilities

• Perform demolition, hydro blasting, dewatering, and pump management activities.
• Assist other skilled crafts on the project.
• Perform additional duties as required.
• Experience working with concrete batch plants is a plus.

Requirements

• Successful completion of a background check and drug screen (contingent on offer).
• Security clearance as determined by client requirements based on background check results.
• Ability to meet physical demands: frequent standing, walking, use of hands, reaching, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, talking/hearing, working at elevated heights; occasional lifting/moving up to 50 pounds; required vision abilities include close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception and focus adjustment.

Qualifications

Experience with concrete batch plants is preferred.

Pay

Base pay range: $25‑30 per hour (DOE). Compensation includes prevailing wage plus zone pay.

Schedule

6/10 work schedule with potential for swing shift.
