Laborer

Kamco Supply Corp of New England is seeking a full‑time Laborer who is hard‑working, reliable, and motivated to join the team. The company, a second‑generation family business founded 35 years ago in Connecticut, now operates nine branches from Buffalo, NY to Cranston, RI, with a fleet of 75 trucks (including 35 boom trucks and three 8‑story booms) and over 500,000 sq ft of warehouse/showroom space.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Load, unload, and deliver materials to job sites and businesses.
• Repeatedly move or lift construction materials.
• Communicate directions and work effectively with a partner or other team members.
• Report job‑site issues (e.g., unsafe loading conditions) to the office and answer customer questions.
• Assist forklift operators when loading trucks.
• Wait on customers picking up materials while the truck is being loaded for the next delivery.
• Record any material returned on paperwork and assist in unloading material returned for credit.
• Maintain good housekeeping in trucks, yard, warehouse, and office.
• Assist fellow employees on deliveries as needed when directed.
• Apply checks, tarps, or covers due to weather conditions and secure all loads.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Management.
• Comply with the Kamco Employee Handbook and Safety Policy procedures.
• Comply with Kamco attendance policy by maintaining regular and predictable attendance; reliability is essential for job security.

Experience and Qualifications

• Highly motivated with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a variety of weather and environmental conditions.
• Physical demands include walking, climbing, stooping, reaching, pushing, pulling, bending, twisting, and lifting/carrying up to 150 lb repeatedly with a team member.
• Reliable transportation.
