About the Role
This position is designated as safety-sensitive in accordance with company policy.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the installation, maintenance, and repair of temporary and permanent crash cushion systems
- Complete all required company safety training and adhere to established safety procedures
- Assist with loading and unloading trucks, as well as the delivery and pickup of equipment and materials
- Support completion of attenuator service requests as assigned
- Safely perform job duties in compliance with all safety-sensitive job requirements
- Work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, holidays, and on-call assignments as needed; carry a company-issued phone when required
- Learn and safely operate tools such as hammer drills, grinders, impact wrenches, and other equipment necessary to perform job tasks
- Complete and submit required documentation (e.g., accident reports, time sheets, mileage reports) accurately and timely
- Maintain professional and respectful interactions with coworkers, customers, vendors, and the general public
- Comply with all applicable company policies, as well as local, state, and federal laws and regulations, including safety and environmental standards
- Perform duties in work zones that may include exposure to moving traffic, including high-speed roadways
- Perform work outdoors in varying environmental conditions, including extreme temperatures, with appropriate safety measures in place
- Perform work during nighttime operations utilizing company-provided lighting as needed
- Drive company vehicles as required and safely enter and exit traffic in accordance with defensive driving practices
- Perform special projects and other duties as assigned
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Valid driver’s license required
- Must meet company driving requirements and be insurable under the company’s insurance policy (candidates who do not meet insurability requirements may still be considered for non-driving roles, if available)
- Ability to successfully complete pre-employment screening, which may include a background check, drug screening, and motor vehicle report, consistent with applicable laws
- Experience using hand tools preferred
- Previous construction, maintenance, or assembly experience is a plus

- Effective interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)

- Basic math skills sufficient to perform job duties
- Ability to apply practical problem-solving skills and sound judgment

Physical and Work Environment Requirements
- Ability to perform physical activities such as standing, walking, lifting, bending, and working in confined or restricted spaces, with or without reasonable accommodation
- Ability to respond to emergency situations as they arise
- Ability to work in active roadway environments with exposure to traffic
- Ability to work in outdoor conditions, including extreme temperatures, for extended periods
