Laboratory Testing Technician

Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory testing, observation, and inspection of construction materials (e.g., soils, aggregates, concrete, asphalt, and steel).
• Communicate with laboratory supervisor, project manager, engineering technicians, client representative, contractor’s representative, and others regarding the construction site, project requirements, and testing, observation, and inspection requirements and results.
• Tabulate, prepare, and submit data and observations in written and digital reports for daily transmittal to the Laboratory Supervisor.
• Maintain and clean equipment, vehicles, and work areas.
• Adhere to strict safety standards and report any safety issues or concerns to management.
• Perform pre-task planning prior to executing work.
• Maintain quality standards on all projects.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 6 months of experience required.
• A valid driver’s license with acceptable violation history may be required.
• Successful completion of related internal safety certifications.
