Laboratory Technician - Water Testing

About the role

The Login Technician I is responsible for receiving, processing, and logging environmental samples, ensuring compliance with SOPs and maintaining data accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Receive, unpack, label, and document incoming samples and shipping materials.
• Accurately enter sample and Chain of Custody information into the laboratory database system.
• Verify sample preservation, condition, and documentation per SOPs.
• Distribute samples to appropriate laboratory departments and storage areas.
• Support sample disposal activities and prepare sample bottles with preservatives as needed.
• Clean and maintain laboratory equipment and work areas following safety procedures.
• Assist with shipping, receiving, and courier duties.
• Greet clients, provide customer support, and handle phone inquiries including payment processing.
• Perform occasional duties such as sample shipment and courier tasks.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to lift 55 lbs and stand for extended periods.
• Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record.
• Authorization to work in the U.S. without restrictions.

Skills

• Proficiency with MS Office tools (Outlook, Excel, Word).
• Professional English communication skills.

Schedule

This full-time role operates Monday to Friday, 9 am to 6 pm, with potential overtime.

Pay

Compensation ranges from $19 to $22.20 per hour, based on experience.
