About the role

Avid Bioservices is a leading clinical and commercial biologics CDMO focused on creating innovative solutions to meet the needs of our clients and improve patient outcomes. As a Laboratory Technician in Process Development Downstream, you will support downstream process development activities.

Responsibilities

  • Set up, maintain, and clean AKTA and TFF systems.
  • Prepare buffers and assist with processing and sample measurements using pH/conductivity probes, SoloVPE, and other instruments in PD.
  • Assist with day-to-day upkeep of downstream processes, general laboratory maintenance, ordering, cleaning glassware and lab equipment, and disposition of hazardous waste.
  • Restock laboratory consumables and support purification projects.
  • Analyze experimental data and prepare summary reports.
  • Maintain a good laboratory notebook and follow cGMP documentation when necessary.

Requirements

  • An AA in life sciences and relevant laboratory experience.
  • Understanding of laboratory etiquette and GMP.

  • Strong team player with a positive attitude and readiness to tackle challenges.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Exceptional multitasking and attention to detail.
  • Ability to build relationships with team members, clients, vendors, and suppliers.

Schedule

This is a full-time onsite position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., unless otherwise stated by a supervisor. The employee must be able to work overtime and/or weekends when necessary.

Pay

The compensation range for this role is $19.61 - $24.51 hourly, depending on experience and qualifications. We offer competitive compensation packages, including a base salary and performance-based bonuses.
