The Role

We are seeking a Process & Lab Technician to support our team in developing and optimizing copper leaching processes and conducting necessary analytical tests. This role involves working closely with Research and Development (R&D) and Engineering teams to manage and operate ore leaching columns, handle ore, and perform chemical analyses.

What You’ll Do

• Procure and construct columns and ancillary equipment for measuring copper leaching fundamentals.
• Operate leaching columns, collect routine samples, troubleshoot equipment issues, and maintain cleanliness.
• Handle ore by crushing, sorting by particle size, and collecting representative samples.
• Prepare samples for analysis using techniques like digestion, dilution, and filtration.
• Perform elemental and compositional analysis of solid and liquid samples using ICP, NMR, XRF, Titrator, or similar analytical methods.
• Document analytical results in laboratory information systems and maintain clear experimental records and material metrics using digital tools and software.
• Adhere to strict environmental, health, and safety protocols.

Desired Qualifications

• Experience in minerals processing, metallurgy, chemicals, specialty materials, or similar industrial settings.
• Familiarity with chemical processing equipment and crushing machinery.
• Ability to read and follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), equipment manuals, and safety guidelines.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to perform simple fabrication and troubleshooting.
• Hands-on experience operating analytical equipment.
• Strong communication skills and willingness to collaborate across teams.
• Commitment to safety, accuracy, and operational excellence.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on your feet for extended periods.
