Laboratory Technician (Office-Scientific/Clinical)

Primary Responsibilities

  • Optimize laboratory procedures to produce reliable and impactful results.
  • Handle sensitive equipment to analyze samples or substances and report findings to the laboratory manager.
  • Receive, label, and analyze samples (blood, toxic, tissue, etc.).
  • Design and execute laboratory testing according to standard procedures, make observations, and interpret findings.
  • Conduct experiments under defined conditions to verify or reject hypotheses using refined scientific methods.
  • Organize and store all chemical substances, fluids, and compressed gases according to safety instructions.
  • Record all data and results in specified forms (paper and electronic) with accuracy and responsibility.
  • Maintain equipment and assist in ordering laboratory supplies.
  • Ensure strict adherence to safety guidelines and maintain a clean, orderly environment.

Education & Qualifications

Degree in a related discipline (Chemistry, Biology, etc.) and/or equivalent work experience. Knowledge of complex laboratory techniques, equipment, terminology, materials, and substances. Skilled in the use of laboratory equipment, statistical analysis, and preparation of technical reports.

  • Proactive problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to follow scientific laboratory SOPs.
  • Aseptic sampling techniques.
