About the role
The Laboratory Technician will be responsible for performing molecular and cell biology experiments under the supervision of experienced scientists.
Responsibilities
- Performing DNA/RNA extraction and purification from biological samples
- Conducting PCR reactions and gel electrophoresis
- Handling and maintaining laboratory equipment and supplies
- Documenting experimental results in lab notebooks and electronic databases
- Assisting in the preparation of sample solutions and reagents
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, or related field
- Experience with molecular biology techniques such as PCR and gel electrophoresis
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
- Basic computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
Qualifications
- Knowledge of laboratory safety protocols
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and troubleshoot problems
- Good communication skills to collaborate with other lab personnel
