Primary Responsibilities

Skills & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, biological sciences, or a related technical field
  • Familiarity with microbiology techniques, including environmental monitoring, critical utility sampling, endotoxin testing, bioburden analysis, microbial identification, and sterility testing
  • Understanding of regulatory requirements such as FDA, GLP, QSR, and cGMP
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Experience with laboratory instrumentation and data management systems is a plus

The Laboratory Technician’s responsibilities will be:

  • Collecting samples from manufacturing areas to evaluate environmental conditions and critical utility systems
  • Performing biological, chemical, and physical analyses on raw materials, in-process samples, final products, and environmental monitoring samples
  • Operating laboratory instruments and computer systems, including LIMS, to collect and record data accurately
  • Conducting precise assays, applying principles of biology and chemistry
  • Completing all testing, including special project or protocol testing, within required timelines
  • Initiating and obtaining approvals for test requests as needed
  • Maintaining inventory and supplies necessary for routine testing
  • Following continuous improvement practices such as QLP, 5S, and LEAN methodologies
  • Performing equipment maintenance and calibrations as required
  • Ensuring data integrity and compliance with company SOPs, FDA regulations, GLP, QSR, and cGMP standards
  • Performing release functions in LIMS or other computerized systems
  • Supporting additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, biological sciences, or a related technical field
