Skills & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, biological sciences, or a related technical field
- Familiarity with microbiology techniques, including environmental monitoring, critical utility sampling, endotoxin testing, bioburden analysis, microbial identification, and sterility testing
- Understanding of regulatory requirements such as FDA, GLP, QSR, and cGMP
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Experience with laboratory instrumentation and data management systems is a plus
The Laboratory Technician’s responsibilities will be:
- Collecting samples from manufacturing areas to evaluate environmental conditions and critical utility systems
- Performing biological, chemical, and physical analyses on raw materials, in-process samples, final products, and environmental monitoring samples
- Operating laboratory instruments and computer systems, including LIMS, to collect and record data accurately
- Conducting precise assays, applying principles of biology and chemistry
- Completing all testing, including special project or protocol testing, within required timelines
- Initiating and obtaining approvals for test requests as needed
- Maintaining inventory and supplies necessary for routine testing
- Following continuous improvement practices such as QLP, 5S, and LEAN methodologies
- Performing equipment maintenance and calibrations as required
- Ensuring data integrity and compliance with company SOPs, FDA regulations, GLP, QSR, and cGMP standards
- Performing release functions in LIMS or other computerized systems
- Supporting additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
