Laboratory Technician

Arl Bio Pharma provides analytical and microbiological testing services to the pharmaceutical industry. This position offers a unique opportunity to learn and grow within the pharmaceutical sector.

About the Role

This role serves as a stepping stone and a way to gain practical experience in the pharmaceutical industry. It involves supporting tasks in a fast-paced laboratory setting under the supervision of the laboratory supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Media preparation
• Glassware cleaning
• Inventory and ordering
• Lab cleaning and sanitization
• Autoclaving various reagents and supplies
• Assist laboratory personnel in daily activities
• Maintain high scientific quality and compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), protocols, and safety standards
• Wear, maintain, and use appropriate safety equipment

Requirements

• High School diploma with 2+ years working experience OR
• Associate degree in Microbiology or related science field OR
• Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology or related science field
• A minimum of an associate degree in Microbiology or related science field is preferred
• Communication proficiency
• Problem-solving and analysis skills
• Collaboration skills

Qualifications

• Physical demands: Standing for prolonged periods, dexterity in fingers and hands, ability to walk and stoop, ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds, see and hear in the normal ranges
