Laboratory Technician - Internship/Co-op

Responsibilities

• Perform standard concrete/masonry testing and soils/aggregate testing on materials to ensure the material meets the required specifications.
• Mix, sample and test concrete and mortars; handle freshly produced concrete and mortars to perform tests for engineering properties.
• Perform soil testing and sampling procedures in accordance with various industry standards, including ASTM, AASHTO, OCOE, and DOT standardized testing methods.
• Other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Associate degree in Civil Engineering Technology, Construction Management, Construction Technology, or similar OR coursework toward a BS in Civil Engineering.
• Experience in construction materials testing or construction industry preferred (training provided).
• Strong focus on safe work practices and adherence to all safety protocols.
• Strong safety focus, detail-oriented, and able to work independently.
• Valid, clean driver’s license required.
