About the Role
Eurofins Scientific is an international life sciences company providing analytical testing services to ensure the safety, health, and sustainability of products and the environment. This position supports laboratory operations in the TEM (Transmission Electron Microscopy) Department, focusing on Indoor Air Quality testing.
The Laboratory Technician I will perform general laboratory methods and techniques in compliance with Eurofins Environment Testing America’s Quality Assurance programs and standard operating procedures.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrates and promotes the company vision.
- Performs sample preparation, which may include:
- Bulk samples
- AHERA (Asbestos Hazard Emergency Response Act) samples
- Soil samples
- Dust samples
- Performs sample log-in.
- Conducts equipment calibrations, daily balance checks, thermometer checks, and other basic lab activities.
- Maintains, cleans, and prepares glassware and other laboratory appliances for TEM sample preparation.
- Stocks laboratory supplies.
- Conducts all activities in a safe and efficient manner.
- Assists other laboratory areas as needed.
Requirements
- Basic Minimum Qualifications (BMQ):
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: High school Chemistry coursework; basic laboratory experience.
- Skills:
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
- Responsible, reliable, and a good team player; comfortable with routine and production work.
- Good communication, organizational, and computer skills.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to multi-task.
- Experience handling micropipettes and tweezers is preferred.
- Additional Requirements:
- Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship.
- Professional working proficiency in English (reading, writing, and speaking).

Schedule
Full-time position, Monday - Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM. Occasional weekend work may be required.
