About the Role
The Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Cardiology, is seeking a highly organized and motivated Laboratory Technician to join the Campbell Muscle Lab. This position supports innovative research through the performance of biochemical, molecular, and histological assays, collection and analysis of research data, specimen processing and biobank support, and maintenance of laboratory operations.
Responsibilities
- Perform biochemical, molecular, and histological assays
- Collect and analyze research data
- Process specimens and support biobank operations
- Maintain accurate research records
- Assist with protocol development and implementation
- Support regulatory compliance and laboratory safety
- Contribute to a collaborative research environment dedicated to advancing scientific discovery and improving human health
Requirements
- Associate degree (or equivalent)
- No prior experience required
- No specific license, registration, or certification required
Preferred Qualifications
- Degree in a science field
- Experience in a laboratory with molecular and/or biochemical techniques
Skills & Knowledge
- Proficiency in MS Office programs
- Ability to read and carry out research protocols
- Strong organizational skills
Physical Requirements
- Moving and lifting objects from floor to above shoulders up to 25 pounds
- Standing at lab bench and sitting at computer completing repetitive tasks for extensive periods of time
- Working with materials requiring PPE in accordance with EHS policies
Pay
$15.61–24.99 per hour
Schedule
- Full-time, Monday through Friday
- 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
