Laboratory Technician

Responsibilities

• Complete knowledge of all equipment used in the sample receiving and preparation laboratory
• Daily ore sample preparation using crushers
• Blast hole sample preparation
• Fire assaying sample preparation and moisture analysis
• Perform basic sample receiving and preparation of all samples delivered to the laboratory
• Perform wet lab analysis and reporting for all incoming samples
• Perform multi-element AA analysis
• Perform sample preparation and fire assay of solid samples for gold and silver analysis
• Perform precipitate and slag assays
• Handle reagents and samples appropriately
• Understand calculations associated with assay reporting
• Perform accurate and precise work in a timely manner
• Adhere to solid and hazardous waste management guidelines as defined by the Environmental, Health and Safety Department
• Perform other incidental and related duties as required and assigned

Pay

Compensation is dependent on experience.
