Responsibilities
- Perform in-process, raw material, and final product testing according to established methods and quality standards.
- Document all analyses clearly and accurately in laboratory notes and electronic databases including SAP.
- To have a working knowledge of the following techniques and equipment: FTNIR, KF Titration systems, Coulometry, Calorimetry and Spectrometry.
- Sampling of material from manufacturing facility and observation and documentation of select manufacturing equipment in the plant.
- Perform instrument calibration, standardization, and routine maintenance according to SOPs.
- Monitor and manage laboratory hazardous waste streams, ensuring proper labeling, collection, and disposal per regulatory and company requirements.
- Communicates test results promptly to production and quality teams.
- Support continuous improvement efforts in analytical accuracy, efficiency, and safety.
- Perform all supportive lab duties and extra assigned work required to maintain effective and efficient laboratory services in order to ensure production and shipment of quality products from the plant.
Requirements
- A Four-year degree in natural science (e.g. Chemistry, Biology) with laboratory classes; or two-year degree in a natural science with laboratory classes (e.g. Chemistry, Biology) and 2 years of laboratory work experience.
- Able to work 12 hour shifts on rotating shift schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Mathematics, communication, computer, and organizational skills.
- Accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to interpret and communicate results of routine and nonroutine tests.
- Working knowledge of laboratory safety, hazardous waste management, and strict adherence to written procedures and SOPs.
- Laboratory and production facility setting involving exposure to chemicals and lab equipment.
- Must follow all company safety policies, including the use of required PPE.
- May involve standing for extended periods and lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Commitment to elevating safety and environmental compliance.
Pay
Pay: $28.41 per hour to start. Potential for increase after probation and training completion.
