Laboratory Technician

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform laboratory tests and calculate results across specialties.
  • Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory equipment; troubleshoot basic issues.
  • Prepare and evaluate reagents and media according to established protocols.
  • Carry out quality control checks and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Conduct routine testing and instrument maintenance and support assay validations.
  • Verify test results using established techniques and principles.
  • Maintain quality assurance and safety programs to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Use laboratory information systems to report results accurately.
  • Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and maintain accurate documentation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Chemistry, or a closely related scientific field.
  • 0–1 year of relevant laboratory experience; strong analytical and communication skills.
  • Willingness to train on day shift and commit to one year on 3rd shift.
  • Demonstrated adaptability, teamwork, and eagerness to learn.

Pay

  • Base rate: $23/hr
  • Up to $25.50/hr on weekdays with shift differential
  • Up to $27/hr on Saturdays and Sundays
