Laboratory Technician (2nd shift 4Pm to 12 AM On Site)

About the role

This laboratory technician will perform bench-level mechanical tests of medical devices, adhering to written test procedures and maintaining minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Perform hands-on measurement of tension and compression forces on medical device products.
• Comply with detailed technical instructions and regulatory procedures typical in a medical device company.
• Maintain concentration and attention to detail during long test durations.
• Accurately record and report test data.

Requirements

• Experience with using testing equipment in a laboratory or quality control (QC).
• Good written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to use PC software including Excel.

Desired Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Biomechanical engineering.
• Experience working in a regulated industry such as automotive or medical device.
• Experience in using mechanical testing machines like the Instron.
• Knowledge of statistical analysis and proficiency in Minitab software.
