About the role
IMDEA Energy Institute is a Severo Ochoa Centre of Excellence dedicated to conducting research and development (R&D) in the fields of renewable energy and clean energy technologies, while fostering strong partnerships with leading companies in the energy sector.Responsibilities
- Synthesis, preparation, and physicochemical, spectroscopic, and microstructural characterization of materials using the equipment available in the research unit;
- Management of the laboratory equipment, including its operation, maintenance, and calibration;
- Maintenance and testing at laboratory- and pilot-scale;
- Management of personal protective equipment in the laboratory;
- Management of laboratory reagents and laboratory waste.
Requirements
- To be in possession of a Higher-Level Training Cycle Degree (Vocational Training of the Educational System) in Industrial chemistry, analytical techniques and quality control, or similar.
- Accredited knowledge in the synthesis and characterization of solid and fluid materials (thermogravimetric analysis, rheology, microscopy, XRD, etc.)
- Experience in additive manufacturing.
- Organizational and communication skills.
- Oral and written communication skills in English.
- Adequacy of the candidate's training to the requested profile.
- Work experience related to the profile of the job position
- Motivation for accomplishing high-quality research.
- Knowledge of English
Qualifications
- Remuneration: Between 18.000€ – 22.000€ per year, depending upon qualification and expertise.
- The contract includes all the benefits of the Spanish Public Health and Social Security System.
- Durability of the contract: 1 year, renewable based on performance.
