About the role
Performs all specimen collection by phlebotomy from the correct individual at in-house or off-site locations. In addition, obtains other specimens when indicated, and instructs patients in the collection of specimens as necessary. May be required to enter pathology specimens into various computerized information systems along with the preparation and staining of cytology specimens.
Responsibilities
- Performs all specimen collection by phlebotomy from the correct individual at in-house or off-site locations.
- Instructs patients in the collection of specimens as necessary.
- Enters pathology specimens into various computerized information systems.
- Prepares and stains cytology specimens.
- Works in all laboratory areas under the direction of the appropriate Supervisor, Clinical Laboratory Technologists, Cytotechnologists or other designated laboratory personnel.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Certified as a phlebotomy technician (preferred).
- Previous experience drawing blood or phlebotomy training course in an approved program (preferred).
- Previous experience in a clinical laboratory environment (preferred).
Qualifications
- Knowledge and training of all laboratory areas to function as necessary.

Benefits

Pay
- Scheduled Hours per Pay: 80
Schedule
- Full-time.
- Daily Work Times: Monday through Friday: 9:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.; Saturday and Sunday: 12:30 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.
