Lab Technical Assistant - Phlebotomy

About the role

The successful candidate will assist in the phlebotomy department at Northside Hospital Cherokee. Responsibilities include drawing blood samples from patients, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring patient safety.

Responsibilities

• Draw blood samples from patients following proper procedures and protocols
• Maintain accurate and timely records of patient information
• Ensure patient safety and comfort during the phlebotomy process
• Follow all hospital policies and procedures related to phlebotomy

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid Georgia driver’s license
• Experience in a healthcare setting preferred

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Skills

• Basic computer skills
• Phlebotomy certification preferred but not required
