Laboratory Supervisory -Technical
About the role
The Supervisor – Lab Technical is responsible for maintaining the integrity and the smooth daily operation of the assigned Laboratory section and for the direct supervision to the personnel assigned to that section. This is a first line supervisor that is responsible for the overall administrative and technical management of section operations. This position supervises Medical Technologists, Medical Laboratory Technicians, Processors, or other laboratory personnel.
Responsibilities

- Direct supervision to the personnel assigned to that section
- Overall administrative and technical management of section operations
- Supervise Medical Technologists, Medical Laboratory Technicians, Processors, or other laboratory personnel
- Work situations are varied and require strong leadership skills, organization, prioritization, accuracy, discretion, good judgment, and independent decision-making
Requirements
- BS/BA in a science related field (Microbiology, Medical Technology or equivalent)
- Certification of Medical Technologist, MLS(ASCP)CM -OR- categorical certification in Microbiology by AAM or ASCP (A combination of post high-school education and 6 years of recent relevant experience may be substituted for bachelor’s degree requirement, with HR Compensation approval and provided the individual commits to pursuing and completing the bachelor’s degree within a specified time frame)
- Three (3) years experience in relevant area of clinical laboratory
- Specialized certification preferred
- Previous experience and demonstrated skills in a leadership or a supervisory role

Pay and Benefits
We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental and retirement benefits and paid time off. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $88,691.20 - $127,649.60 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will be reflective of the appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicant’s years of experience align.
