Laboratory Supervisor - Monroe Clinical Lab

Job Duties

Coordinates daily operations
Supervises, trains and develops department staff
Oversees performance improvement and quality control programs
Ensures fiscal responsibility
Participates in PALM and department projects

Requirements

• Maintains a patient/client focused section that complies with the standards of accrediting/regulatory agencies
• Oversees training of all personnel in section and performs technical work as necessary
• Promotes and ensures compliance with the company and Laboratory policies and practices

Qualifications

• Current license or temporary license as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist-Generalist or Clinical Laboratory Scientist-Specialist in the state of practice
• Meets CLIA and CAP requirements for testing personnel relative to scope of duties
• Meets CLIA standards as a general laboratory supervisor
• ASCP certification as a Medical Technologist

• Computer skills and dexterity required for data entry and retrieval of information
• Effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present information clearly and professionally
• Proficient with Windows-style applications, various software packages specific to role and keyboard
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Judgmental skills in order to identify and solve problems as well as handle difficult situations
• Analytical skills necessary to prepare/interpret a variety of management reports, analyze complex data and trouble shoot equipment
• Advanced analytical skills necessary in order to analyze complex data and trouble shoot equipment
