Laboratory Supervisor – Microbiology & Anatomic Pathology. Responsibilities

• Oversee the operations of the microbiology and anatomic pathology departments, including patient testing, quality control, and validations
• Maintain compliance with regulatory standards and troubleshoot any issues that arise
• Oversee the inventory of reagents and supplies for these departments
• Manage the flow process of the microbiology and anatomic pathology departments, resolving patient or instrument issues
• Implement key NYP enterprise and local initiatives within the department
• Supervise 9 laboratory staff members

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Technology or related science
• New York State Clinical Laboratory Technologist License from New York Education Department
• Meets all requirements of the New York State Department of Health for a Laboratory Supervisor
• Minimum of 4 years’ progressive clinical laboratory experience or 2 years of experience with a Master’s degree or 1 year of experience with a Ph.D.

Schedule

Full-time, day shift, Monday–Friday.

Pay

Salary range: $140,000–$174,000 per year.
