Role Overview

This position involves performing a variety of clinical laboratory tests and procedures, ensuring accurate results through scientific and technical expertise. The role requires managing daily laboratory operations, including instrument maintenance, quality control, reagent preparation, and troubleshooting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain laboratory instrumentation, including inventory and calibration management.
  • Perform basic to complex tests using established protocols and equipment manuals.
  • Identify and act on abnormal results, communicating findings to relevant staff.
  • Interpret test results critically, correlating data to ensure accuracy.
  • Contribute to protocol development, quality improvement initiatives, and training of staff and new employees.
  • Guide specimen collection, handling, and storage procedures as needed.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Medical/Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology, or related field.
  • Certification as MLS (AMT or ASCP) within one year, or eligibility for certification.
  • Strong communication skills, visual acuity, and ability to work independently and in team settings.
