About the role

The Yukon-Kuskokwim Health Corporation is seeking a Laboratory Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team in Bethel, Alaska. This position offers a competitive compensation package including a $10K sign-on bonus for the first year, a $15K sign-on bonus for the second year, and a $15K relocation and retention bonus.

Responsibilities

- Ensure compliance with all laboratory quality assurance standards. - Participate in ongoing training and professional development. - Collaborate with other departments to maintain high-quality patient care. - Conduct regular audits and ensure adherence to laboratory protocols. - Maintain accurate records and documentation.

Requirements

- Minimum Education: Associate degree required with MLT program completion; Bachelor’s degree with MT program completion preferred. - Minimum Experience: Three years of experience in all areas of the laboratory. - License, Certification, Registration: ASCP MT/MLT certification within one year of hire; MT preferred.

Skills

- Knowledge of general lab functions including Hematology, Chemistry, Special Chemistry, Urinalysis, Serology, Blood Banking, Microbiology, and Coagulation. - Working knowledge of Lab Quality Assurance and Point of Care testing guidelines. - Understanding of total quality management, team processes, and change theory.

Supervisory Responsibilities

As assigned by the Manager.
