Laboratory Medical Director/Pathologist

Responsibilities
- Sign-out of general surgical pathology and cytopathology cases
- Perform frozen sections and intraoperative consultations
- Oversee select areas of clinical pathology (e.g. blood bank, hematology, chemistry)
- Participate in quality initiatives, tumor boards, and clinical discussions
Requirements
Candidates based in the Greater Chicago, IL, Indianapolis, IN, and Detroit, MI areas are encouraged to apply, as this role offers a hybrid schedule consisting of approximately two weeks per month of on-site coverage in Fort Wayne and two weeks per month of remote sign-out.
Qualifications
- AP/CP Board-Certified or Board-Eligible
- Experience with general surgical pathology and clinical pathology
- Flexibility and ability to work remotely
- Strong teamwork and complex case exposure skills

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
- Proficiency in digital pathology tools and workflows

Schedule
