Laboratory Manager - Full-Time

Role Overview

Responsible for the overall operation of the clinical laboratory, including leadership in financial management, regulatory compliance, quality assurance, and client services.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervises laboratory activities across various specialties, ensuring quality and efficiency.
• Develops and maintains QA programs, monitors testing processes, and reports results.
• Captures staff hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations.
• Manages laboratory budgets, monitors financial performance, and ensures proper billing procedures.
• Ensures compliance with regulations and accrediting standards, initiating corrective actions as needed.
• Provides technical expertise in test methodologies, troubleshooting, and problem-solving.
• Develops policies, procedures, and quality control programs to ensure reliable testing outcomes.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in medical technology, clinical laboratory science, or related field; master’s preferred.
• Valid Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) license; certification from ASCP preferred.
• Minimum of five years’ clinical lab experience; leadership experience preferred.
• Strong supervisory, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to interpret and apply regulatory standards and technical information.
