Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS)

About the role

The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing, configuring, and testing Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) to ensure they meet regulatory requirements and improve operational efficiency. They will also work with Snowflake cloud data warehouse and Cloudera/Hadoop ecosystem to enhance data analytics capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Analyzing and configuring LIMS systems to optimize workflows and meet regulatory standards.
• Developing and testing SQL queries and stored procedures for data integrity and performance optimization.
• Collaborating with IT teams to implement and validate data integration pipelines using ETL processes.
• Writing Python scripts for data analysis and validation to automate routine tasks.
• Creating and maintaining comprehensive technical documentation and communicating effectively across various departments.
• Participating in system validation and quality assurance activities to identify and resolve defects.

Requirements

• Minimum 4-6 years of hands-on experience testing IT products and applications.
• Proven experience with LIMS, including workflow analysis, configuration, and testing.
• Strong expertise in SQL development, including complex joins, aggregations, stored procedures, and query optimization.
• Experience with Snowflake cloud data warehouse and Cloudera/Hadoop ecosystem.
• Knowledge of Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS).
• Proficiency in Python for data analysis, automation, and validation scripts.
• Experience with Shell scripting for workflow checks and automation.
• Excellent understanding of system validation, quality assurance, and defect analysis.
• Strong technical documentation and cross-functional communication skills.

Qualifications

• Experience with Medical Laboratory systems is highly desired.
• Desired experience with public health reporting and epidemiological data analysis.
