Laboratory General Supervisor – Milledgeville, GA MainStreet Family Care operates over 60 fast-growing urgent care clinics across Alabama, Florida, Georgia, and North Carolina. Due to continued growth, we are seeking a Laboratory General Supervisor to join our clinical team in the Milledgeville, GA area. This role plays a vital part in delivering accurate, timely diagnostic results through high-complexity real-time PCR testing and other laboratory procedures that directly impact patient care. The Laboratory General Supervisor is responsible for all testing duties, quality standards, and MainStreet Family Care values. This position supports providers and lab techs by producing reliable laboratory results that enable efficient diagnosis and treatment. Key Responsibilities Perform CLIA high-complexity, real-time PCR testing in accordance with established protocols and regulatory requirements Collect, prepare, process, and analyze patient specimens Accurately document laboratory results in the electronic medical record Perform quality control procedures, calibration, and routine maintenance on laboratory equipment Ensure compliance with CLIA, OSHA, HIPAA, and infection control standards Prepare and manage specimens for internal and external testing as needed Monitor laboratory inventory, reagents, and expiration dates Identify, troubleshoot, and report testing discrepancies, equipment issues, or quality concerns Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory environment Collaborate with providers and clinical staff to support efficient operations Providing supervision for day-to-day test performance The Opportunity Perform advanced molecular diagnostic testing in a growing healthcare organization Make a direct impact on patient outcomes through accurate, rapid diagnostics Support healthcare access in traditionally underserved communities Competitive compensation with strong benefits and growth opportunities Minimum Qualifications Medical laboratory certification, or a Bachelor's degree in chemical, biological, clinical, or medical laboratory science that is compliant with CLIA standards. Two (2) years of clinical laboratory experience, including molecular or PCR-based testing Preferred Qualifications Five (5) years of clinical laboratory experience Experience performing high-complexity real-time PCR testing in a regulated laboratory environment Experience in urgent care, primary care, or high-volume clinical settings Required Skills, Knowledge, And Abilities Proficiency in real-time PCR and molecular diagnostic techniques Knowledge of high-complexity laboratory testing standards and CLIA requirements Strong attention to detail and quality assurance practices Ability to troubleshoot testing and equipment issues Effective communication and teamwork skills Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Schedule Approximately 30-40 hours per week 10-hour shifts, scheduled across 7 days per week Rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed Schedule may vary based on operational and testing volume needs Compensation & Benefits Position begins at $25/hr 401(k) with company match Health, dental, and vision insurance contribution Paid time off (PTO) Employee Assistance Program Referral programs Alternatively, you can apply to this job using your profile from Indeed by clicking the button below:
