The Lab Courier is responsible for transporting clinical and anatomical specimens, supplies, and mail to ensure timely and accurate delivery for laboratory testing. Key Duties Include Route Management: Efficiently perform designated routes, adjust dynamically to meet client needs, and maintain scheduled stops.Specimen Handling: Verify proper labeling, ensure specimen integrity, and prioritize customer service.Transportation & Maintenance: Safely operate vehicles up to 650 miles per shift, follow all traffic laws, maintain cleanliness, report issues promptly, and ensure vehicles are fueled and parked correctly.Documentation & Communication: Log all stops and deliveries accurately using tracking devices, communicate effectively with team members and clients, and stay informed of operational updates. Qualifications include a valid driver’s license, a clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR), and the ability to operate vehicles safely in various weather conditions. Skills required include good judgment, flexibility, teamwork, attention to detail, and strong communication. Overall, the role demands responsible driving, precise specimen handling, and excellent customer service to support laboratory operations.
