Laboratory Call Center Specialist

Hours: 40hrs | Shift: Day shift, 7:30am - 4:00pm or 8:00am - 4:30pm | Location: Outreach Lab - Dartmouth, MA

About the role

Position reports to TL-Acct. Mgr.-Lab Sr. or designee and supports the Laboratory Outreach Program acting as a liaison to all clients, patients, and providers in our primary and secondary market areas.

Responsibilities

• Responding to and solving problems related to laboratory specimen procurement, test ordering, result delivery and billing
• Providing support for all areas of the Laboratory, including all hospital sites pathology, SPG offices and all Outreach Patient Service Centers as well as the mobile outreach team
• Careful documentation and follow up of all patient and client related activity
• Investigation and resolution of work queue exceptions
• Participation in any Laboratory related Quality events
• Supply maintenance
• Assisting and providing coverage for the appointment desk Call Center representatives

Qualifications

• Equal to completion of four years of high school required
• Some knowledge of medical terminology or additional courses or training required
• A minimum of one year related work experience is required
• Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired

Pay

Pay rate will be determined based on level of experience. Pay Range USD $18.36 - USD $29.27 /Hr.
