About the role

We are searching for a talented Laboratory Call Center Specialist. This position supports the Laboratory Outreach Program acting as a liaison to all clients, patients, and providers in our primary and secondary market areas.

Responsibilities

• Respond to and solve problems related to laboratory specimen procurement, test ordering, result delivery, and billing.
• Provide support for all areas of the Laboratory, including all hospital sites pathology, SPG offices, all Outreach Patient Service Centers, and the mobile outreach team.
• Carefully document and follow up on all patient and client-related activity.
• Investigate and resolve work queue exceptions.
• Participate in Laboratory-related Quality events.
• Maintain supplies and assist with coverage for the appointment desk Call Center representatives.

Position reports to TL-Acct. Mgr.-Lab Sr. or designee.

Qualifications

• Equal to completion of four years of high school required.
• Some knowledge of medical terminology or additional courses/training required.
• A minimum of one year of related work experience is required.
• Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID-19 virus or sign a statement certifying exemption for medical or personal reasons once hired.

Schedule

Day shift, 7:30am - 4:00pm, 40 hours per week.

Pay

Pay rate will be determined based on level of experience. Pay Range USD $18.36 - USD $29.27 /Hr.
