Responsibilities

• Performs moderate and high complexity testing under general supervision of the Laboratory Manager.
• Performs routine laboratory testing, quality control testing, general and instrument maintenance.
• Calls critical and questionable results to appropriate providers.
• Results tests using laboratory information systems.
• Performs general troubleshooting of instrumentation.
• Communicates technical information to appropriate persons.
• Provides technical support for laboratory operations.
• Assembles, configures, and maintains equipment for use in tests and experiments.
• Operates equipment, mixes chemical solutions, and performs analytical tests as assigned.
• Records test results and maintains records as instructed.
• Complies with all safety guidelines.

Qualifications

Education: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in chemical or biological sciences including 24 semester hours of science courses that include 6 semester hours of chemistry, 6 semester hours of biology, and 12 semester hours of any combination of chemical or biological sciences. Experience: None.
