Laboratory Assistant - Point of Care

Responsibilities

• Perform basic POCT procedures following CAP regulatory requirements.
• Procure quality specimens from various age groups for diagnostic testing according to CLIA, JCAHO, and CAP guidelines.
• Complete paperwork to meet compliance guidelines set by the OIG, including accurate interpretation and transcription of physician orders and LIS/HIS order entry.
• Serve as a laboratory liaison to other departments.

Requirements

• High School Degree or GED
• Formal Phlebotomy training
• Phlebotomy Certification preferred
• Desired years of experience: 1-2 years in hospital setting
