Responsibilities
- Perform basic POCT procedures following CAP regulatory requirements.
- Procure quality specimens from various age groups for diagnostic testing according to CLIA, JCAHO, and CAP guidelines.
- Complete paperwork to meet compliance guidelines set by the OIG, including accurate interpretation and transcription of physician orders and LIS/HIS order entry.
- Serve as a laboratory liaison to other departments.
Requirements
- High School Degree or GED
- Formal Phlebotomy training
- Phlebotomy Certification preferred
- Desired years of experience: 1-2 years in hospital setting

- Ability to prioritize, organize, and handle quantity of work
- Accuracy, quality, and completeness of work
- Complex assignments received, delegated, and completed

- Overall procedure knowledge and quality assurance knowledge
