Role Overview: The Lab Assistant in the microbiology department is responsible for receiving, sorting, and preparing clinical specimens for testing, ensuring accurate data entry and specimen management. Key Responsibilities Handle biological specimens safely and accurately.Scan and input specimen and patient information into laboratory systems.Monitor and maintain laboratory equipment, performing routine checks.Troubleshoot specimen-related issues and uphold cleanliness standards.Complete administrative records following established protocols. Qualifications & Skills High school diploma or equivalent.Comfort with biological specimen handling and basic computer skills.Strong attention to detail, multitasking, and ability to work independently or collaboratively.Passes color blindness test; previous laboratory or specimen processing experience is preferred.
