About the Role
This role supports the media department with a focus on preparation, quality control, instrumentation, sanitation, and inventory management. The position ensures compliance with ISO/IEC 17025, AOAC ALACC, and relevant government regulatory requirements while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate and promote the company vision through regular attendance, punctuality, and adherence to management system requirements.
- Follow and uphold requirements outlined in the Quality Manual, SOPs, Local Work Instructions, and Methods.
- Adhere to health, safety, and environmental regulations; maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Perform media preparation, quality control setup, and instrumentation use (e.g., Autoclave, Masterclave).
- Manage media inventory and sanitation processes, including dishwashing.
- Identify process difficulties and propose solutions to supervisors.
- Maintain readiness to respond to client, staff, and co-worker queries.
- Foster cooperative working relationships across departments.
- Communicate effectively both orally and in writing with internal and external stakeholders.
- Promote the company’s image through ethical business practices.
- Strive to improve work quality through existing and new technologies.
- Identify non-conformances and out-of-specifications.
- Perform all duties safely and efficiently; complete additional tasks as assigned.
Requirements
- High School diploma with 0-3 years of relevant experience.
- Basic understanding of ISO 17025 guidelines.
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and analytical skills.
- Strong communication skills and a responsive, independent problem-solving approach.
Physical Demands
- Ability to stand, walk, and use hands to handle objects, tools, or controls, including some repetitive motion.
- Occasional reaching with hands and arms.
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required, including close and distance vision.
