Job Description A Day in the Life As a Full-Time Laboratory Assistant based in our Orange, CA Laboratory, you’ll step into the lab where every detail matters. You'll play a key role in supporting the Metals Department by assisting with disposal, cleaning glassware, handling samples, maintaining equipment, and maintaining a clean laboratory to support on-time results everyday. You’ll collaborate with a strong team of committed professionals, contribute to meaningful scientific work, and grow your expertise in a dynamic, quality-driven environment. The compensation range for this role is $17.25 to $20 per hour, commensurate with experience, skills, and geographic location. Department: Metals Schedule: Full-Time. Monday - Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM To thrive in this role in the Metals Department, you’ll be comfortable taking ownership of the following responsibilities: Pick up, check in/out, retrieve, return, and organize samples; assist with sample weighing Maintain clean and organized workstations, counters, floors, and glassware Dispose of samples, instrument waste, and satellite waste safely Monitor, receive, label, and store supplies; notify when inventory is low Perform routine equipment maintenance and calibration (hot blocks, pipettes, balances, pH/turbidity meters, etc.) Handle and replace gas cylinders safely Perform pH and turbidity checks Handling the pre-treatment and accurately weigh samples for laboratory analysisUse LIMS for daily tasks and maintain logbooks Follow all safety, PPE, and QA requirements Stay current with required QA Communicate and coordinate with QA, Safety members, Sample Receiving, and Group Leader Comply with Onterris Quality Assurance Program and other policiesComply with Onterris Health and Safety PlanOther duties as assigned by the Group Leader, Operations Manager, or Lab Director Your Expertise And Skills These requirements reflect the knowledge, skills and abilities that help you do your best work here.
