About the role

Responsibilities

  • Support Lab Operations: Assist Medical Technologists (MTs) and Medical Laboratory Technicians (MLTs) with a range of laboratory procedures.
  • Operate Equipment: Use automated instruments, electronic systems, and precision tools; provide basic troubleshooting as needed.
  • Ensure Quality: Participate in proficiency testing and quality assurance initiatives.
  • Administrative Tasks: Maintain accurate documentation, answer phones professionally, and ensure compliance with HIPAA guidelines.
  • Safety First: Follow established safety and infection control protocols.
  • Adapt and Grow: Take on new duties as operational needs evolve and gain valuable experience for future advancement.
  • Reliability: Maintain consistent, punctual, and reliable attendance to ensure continuity of operations and support for our team and patients.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s degree or higher preferred.
  • Demonstrated reliable attendance and a consistent work history.
  • Ability to reliably commute to the work location and work the assigned schedule.
  • Familiarity with patient confidentiality and HIPAA guidelines preferred.
  • Previous night-shift experience is a plus.

Skills

  • Physical Requirements: Mobility, manual dexterity, lifting, vision & hearing, flexibility, attention to detail.
  • OSHA Category: Exposure to blood, body fluids, and/or tissues. Employees may be offered the opportunity to receive the Hepatitis-B vaccination series.

Pay

Starting at $19 per hour; commensurate with experience and education.

Schedule

Full-time (swing shift); Monday - Friday 2pm - 10:30pm.
