Department Summary The UCLA Department of Psychology is an exceptional department known for its excellence in research, teaching, and service. With a distinguished faculty comprising more than 60 ladder rank members, it is one of the nation's top psychology departments. Its undergraduate program is the largest within the Division of Life Sciences and the UCLA College, with nearly 5,000 undergraduate students enrolled across three majors: Psychology, Psychobiology, and Cognitive Science and a minor program, Applied Developmental Psychology. The department also offers a comprehensive Ph.D. program with eight areas of study to approximately 200 enrolled graduate students. Position Summary Under the supervision of the Principal Investigators (PIs) at UCLA's Anxiety and Depression Research Center (ADRC) and Culture and Anxiety Lab for Mental Health Advances (CALMA), the Laboratory Assistant will oversee and manage recruitment, attend weekly meetings, and maintain organization of a largescale NIMH-funded project which examines the efficacy of a mindfulness program in youth at risk for anxiety. This opportunity is ideal for individuals interested in gaining skills in clinical psychology research. Salary & Compensation UCLA provides a full pay range. Actual salary offers consider factors, including budget, prior experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business considerations. Qualifications Experience conducting structured interviews. (Preferred) Experience with online questionnaire platforms such as SPSS and Qualtrics. (Preferred) Exceptional interpersonal/communication skills to build and maintain a positive working environment for all members of the research team; maintain positive working relationships with study participants to aid in retention. (Required)Ability to display sensitivity to clinical populations. (Required)Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding all participant information.
