About the role
Memorial laboratory professionals ensure timely and accurate results for patient diagnostics.
Responsibilities
- Registers and accessiones orders via Laboratory Information Systems (LIS)
- Verifies specimen acceptability
- Provides input to evaluations of team members
- Trains and coordinates training of new and current employees
- Determines and coordinates daily staffing assignments and levels
- Coordinates billing functions of reference lab testing
- Manages work queues of registration and billing discrepancies
- Performs phlebotomy functions
- Affords assistance with receiving, identifying, accessioning, processing and transporting specimens
- Maintains equipment and supplies
- Maintains a safe, aseptic, and organized work area
- Provides laboratory customer service
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
