About the role
The laboratories of Indiana University Health offer comprehensive laboratory services, performing over 19 million tests annually. This position supports the operations of IU Health and its affiliated hospitals and physicians.
Responsibilities
- Collect and prepare specimens for testing
- Enter orders and manage specimen registrations
- Deliver specimens as required
- Perform clerical tasks related to laboratory operations
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Completion of a phlebotomy training program
- Experience in laboratory or coursework in biological, chemical, or related sciences preferred
- Valid Indiana operator's license and good driving record within the past three years
- Understanding of Indiana traffic laws
- Working knowledge of computers
- Telephone and interpersonal skills
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks for prolonged periods
