Laboratory Assistant, Full Time, Nights

Responsibilities

• Specimen procurement, accessioning, processing and testing under the supervision of a Licensed Clinical Lab Scientist (CLS)
• Perform all assigned duties in designated areas

Required Skills

• Phlebotomy and skin puncture techniques on patients ranging from infancy through adults
• Written and verbal communication skills
• Basic organizational skills
• Basic computer skills

Required Experience

• Current California Phlebotomy Certification meeting California Business and Profession Codes
• Experience in obtaining blood samples by venipuncture and skin puncture methods
• Experience with computer data entry

Preferred

• Two years as a phlebotomist or laboratory assistant with phlebotomy duties in an acute care hospital
• High School Diploma or Equivalent
