Responsibilities
- Reports to the department Lead Technologists and Manager, Pathology.
- Perform various clerical, technical, and related duties primarily within the Cytology section of the Pathology Laboratory.
- Responsible for accessioning of cytology specimens in the LIS and performing procedures according to established policy for preparing specimens for microscopic examination, including specimen processing and staining.
- Affirmative action statement required upon hire.
Requirements
- Successful completion of High School or equivalency required.
- Certification in Phlebotomy or Medical Assistant preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
- Up to and including one year experience.
- Combination of education and experience as a microbiology specimen processor/lab assistant equivalent for at least 6 months accepted.
- Certification in Phlebotomy or Medical Assistant preferred.
- Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired.

Pay
Pay rate will be determined based on level of experience. Pay Range USD $21.94 - USD $28.82 /Hr.
Schedule
Per Diem Shift: Day/Evening shift, 5:00pm - 9:30pm
