Laboratory Assistant - Clinical Laboratory
About the role
The Lab Assistant II performs a wide variety of duties in the lab including, but not limited to, specimen collection, specimen processing, data entry, new employee orientation and training, special projects, and general duties.
Responsibilities
- Collects and processes specimens according to established protocols.
- Enters data accurately into laboratory information systems.
- Trains new employees on lab procedures and safety protocols.
- Assists with special projects as assigned.
- Performs general lab duties as needed.
Requirements
- H.S. Diploma or GED.
- Certified Phlebotomy Technician I or II License.
- 3 years of experience as a Clinical Laboratory Assistant.
Qualifications
- California Certified Phlebotomy Technician I License upon hire or
- California Certified Phlebotomy Technician II License upon hire.
Skills
- Excellent communication skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Pay
The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. The base pay range is $31.28 - $39.46 per hour.
