Assists the Laboratory Resources Coordinator with various duties and maintains adequate supply inventory levels for all laboratory departments.
Responsibilities
- Meets expectations of the applicable OneCHRISTUS Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders.
- Performs weekly, bi-monthly, and monthly inventory to maintain adequate supply levels for all laboratory departments.
- Receives, stocks, and reconciles inventory and packing slips.
- Resolves problems with vendors and other entities as assigned.
- Assists with supply orders by entering them into the HSS ordering system and placing orders to vendors.
- Completes monthly reports as assigned.
- Processes and maintains laboratory records and reports; audits and reconciles invoices.
- Obtains demographic information for STD reports and distributes/files as required.
- Performs miscellaneous clerical duties such as copying, scanning, printing, organizing files, and filing.
- Creates correspondence, letters, memos, graphs, and meeting materials using Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Publisher, and Word software.
- Works as a team member to complete assignments and provide timely results daily.
- Completes tasks or special projects within established time frames and guidelines.
- Participates in continuing education and development through 10-12 in-house educational programs per year.
- Practices safety, infection control, and security as defined by hospital and department policies; wears appropriate PPE and disposes of biohazardous materials and hazardous chemicals per policy.
- Maintains strict confidentiality of all patient information and adheres to HIPAA laws and privacy regulations.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- No prior experience required.
- No licenses, registrations, or certifications required.
