About the role

The Lab Assistant plays a crucial role in solving diagnostic mysteries, bringing us one step closer to effectively treating patient illnesses and injuries. You will utilize your expertise and advanced technology to precisely collect, prepare, and process a diverse range of patient specimens for various diagnostic tests.

Responsibilities

- Process, organize, and quickly move samples for testing; handle all lab send-out testing including packaging. - Perform venous and capillary punctures on all age groups, following collection procedures. - Perform CLIA waived and moderately complex testing, evaluating results under direction. - Perform routine maintenance, monitor inventory, stock supplies, and manage records.

Requirements

- High School Diploma or GED - AHA BLS within 90 days - Six (6) months acute care experience

Preferred

- Lab Assistant/Phlebotomy certification
