About the role

Under the general supervision of the Supervisor, Phlebotomy (or Supervisor, Point of Care, or Supervisor, Clinical Laboratory), you will perform and report waived and moderately complex laboratory tests in chemistry, hematology, and microbiology; process specimens for clinical analysis and phlebotomy; assist technologists; react to changes in productivity; and handle other tasks as assigned. Patients range from infants to geriatrics.

Responsibilities

  • Perform and report waived and moderately complex laboratory tests in chemistry, hematology, and microbiology.
  • Process specimens for clinical analysis and phlebotomy.
  • Assist technologists with laboratory procedures.
  • React to changes in productivity and adjust workflow accordingly.
  • Handle other assigned tasks related to laboratory operations.

Required qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED from an accredited educational institution.
  • Washington Medical Assistant Phlebotomist Certification or Washington Medical Assistant Certification upon hire.

Preferred qualifications

  • Completion of a structured or accredited Clinical Assistant training program.
  • Two years of phlebotomist experience.
  • One year of waived testing experience.

Hiring bonus

A $4,000 hiring bonus is available for eligible external candidates who meet all conditions for payment.

Pay

Base pay range: $21.92 – $33.62 per hour. Additional compensation may be available, including shift differentials, standby/on‑call pay, overtime, premiums, extra‑shift incentives, or other bonus opportunities.

Schedule

Full‑time, 40 hours per week, variable shift.
