Laboratory Assistant
Job Summary
The Lab Assistant position at HCA HealthONE Sky Ridge is responsible for the efficient organization and effectiveness of the specimen procurement, receipt, and processing area. Duties include providing services addressing age-related techniques in specimen collection and care, answering the telephone, interfacing with other hospitals, departments, physicians, medical offices, and reference laboratories, obtaining blood specimens, and performing general laboratory duties.
Qualifications
- Shift: Part-Time Variable Shift
- Phlebotomy Certification preferred
- High school diploma or GED required
- Completion of a Certified Phlebotomy program preferred
- Experience in a hospital laboratory is desired, but not necessary
- Good customer service and communication skills
- Basic computer skills needed
