Responsibilities

• Support functions and preanalytical processing of specimens
• Prepare specimens for sending to appropriate reference laboratories
• Perform accessioning and registration functions
• Conduct waived and moderate complexity testing
• Manage inventory control and specimen storage/retrieval
• Perform required laboratory maintenance
• Operate a pneumatic tube system

Requirements

• High School Graduate or equivalent
• One (1) year as a Medical or Lab Assistant or demonstrated experience in a laboratory
• Ability to comply with OSHA and applicable regulatory requirements by following established procedures to maintain a safe laboratory environment and meet accreditation standards
• Flexibility to adapt to laboratory needs related to testing and scheduling
